Anybody else having a Super Bowl party? I'm having people over on Sunday and I'm trying to find the most economical (and tasty) pizza solution. I figured places would have lots of specials advertised, but can't really find any. What's the best place to order 3-4 pizzas and not pay through the nose?
I thought the super bowl was held the third Sunday of January. When did that change?

When they decided to hype it even more (the bye weeks push it out a couple weeks).

Actually I have to work Sunday. :/

I think I want the pizza that is over by Walgreens. Starts with an M? They have had good deals before. I don't think they would fail us now.

I tells ya. flour tortilla shells, pasta sauce and cheese, under the broiler till cheese melts. Fold in half cut n roll, one of the tastiest things on earth, and cheap.

Guess that doesn't answer the question though

Specials? On Superbowl Sunday? Surely you jest.

Specials are for times of low demand.

I suggest DiGiorno's, or your rising-crust pizza of choice.

Eideteker: due to expansion they have increased the number of playoff tiers, pushing the final game back. I think 2002 was the first year it was held in February.

My Jaycee chapter is having a Super Bowl party. It'll be even more fun since the Bears are in it. : )

Don't compete. Overcome.

Comfort foods:

Good Beer.
Tuna noodle casserole.
Mac & Cheese.
Buffalo Wings.

Chinese restaurants aren't all that busy on Superbowl Sunday.

Me? I'm puttin' a 6 pound roast in the crockpot Saturday night. I've bought a case of weissbier, and a couple bottles of good Reisling. The Jagermeister and the cherry schnaps (never schnapps) for touchdown shots is already in the freezer. I'm grillin' knockwurst, bratwurst, and bockwurst. I'm makin' German red cabbage, and sauerbraten gravy. Boiled potatoes, egg noodles, and peas & carrots. Hard rolls.

And if anybody but me and my brother shows up, I've got pork chops, ham, steaks, and wings in the 'fridge, ready to go. And a spare tank of propane for the grill.

Fer Chrissake, the Bears are in the Superbowl.

I am a busy woman getting ready for this annual event.

Anyone close (VA) with a legitimate interest in coming, email me. No crash space avail.

So the pizzas. I've done bruchetta, that worked well. I think Little Ceasars, if you have them, have $5 carry out all the time.
