I am rereading   The Mysteries of Pittsburgh

I first read it back in 1989 and loved it. I started rereading it tonight on the bus, and I'm loving it again.
I really enjoyed it as well. And I didnt' realise at the time that it was his first novel, which impresses the hell out of me.

I loved that book.

Then, I was about half way through Wonder Boys when I lost the book, left it somewhere. Then, years later, I watched the movie. Big mistake.

Uh oh. I haven't seen Wonder Boys but the book is good. It's funny how people who read Mysteries of Pittsburgh after having read Kavalier and Clay dislike Mysteries. I'm glad I read this one first, and at age 19, otherwise I might not have liked it as much. Kavalier and Clay is a far superior book, but I still love this one.
