Update on By the Grace of God →[More:]I had an email last night from her husband, but (mea culpa!) forgot to tell everyone. This is what he says:

She had the operation today and it went very well indeed. Doctors were worried they might have to perform more major surgery than they hoped too, but they didn't have to.

She is still in hospital, on morphine and so quite woozy, but she should recover quite quickly.

She might get released as soon as tomorrow (Friday) however it is most likely that she will be released either on Saturday or on Sunday.

Sounds like good news all round - a successful operation, plus drugs.
