Danielson - "Did I Step On Your Trumpet?" (YouTube) This is one of the more accessible songs from the weirdo-Christian musical collective that goes by the name Danielson Famile. I love lo-tech videos like this.
This is one of my favorite songs! It should be our national anthem. I love Danielson Famile!

Awesome.

I picked this album up a month or so ago because it had amazing reviews. Not having heard anything by them at all, I was a bit "ooh, I don't like his voice and the songs aren't great", but it's really snuck up on me recently. Any idea what the the previous albums are like?

Same. Only better.

(Ships is probably my least favorite of all their stuff, but it has grown on me of late. My favorite is probably the last one, Brother Is To Son.)

I like everything Danielson has done, TheDonF, but I warn you that Ships is probably his most accessible as far as the singing goes. He really DOES sound like a panicked Muppet on some of the earlier stuff, so be forewarned. :)

BTW, that video is one of those that makes my whole day every time I watch it. :) Thanks for posting it, Atom Eyes!

Now I'm going to brag.

I've been a Danielson fan for a long, long time, so of course I was thrilled when my band got on a couple of the shows down here in TX.

I was vastly more thrilled when, after the first one, the drummer (Andrew?) and keyboardist excitedly tracked me down to tell me how much they had enjoyed our set and ask if we wanted to swap records.

THE END!
