What three musicians would you get in the same room? As per TheDonF in this previous thread, who is the coolest of the cool? And in what genre of music? My bet is on Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain and Madonna for the ultimate connection.
This is actually much harder than I thought. As a band, Phil Lynott, Jeff Buckley, and John Bonham would be cool. I haven't seen any of funmonkey1's list live but would definitely want to; maybe not playing together, though. I'm going for a nap and another think. I may be some time.

no way, son - I'd get Bryan Ferry or Jim James for vocals, Dave Navarro on guitar, and the rhythm section from Living Colour.

Awesome.

I'd quite like to talk to Freddie Mercury, although without (an on-form) Queen, I'm not fussed with the music. Nick Drake would be pretty cool. Tori Amos would be cool - I've always been intrigued by something I read where it said that no children were invited to her wedding reception as it was "an adult affair". On the basis that she's fairly mad and must have seen and done quite a bit in her life, I'd love to find out what that reception was about.

LT - interesting choice. It took me about 2 years to get into My Morning Jacket, but it finally clicked this year and I'm hooked.

1. Lightnin' Hopkins. He had alot of good stories, and one time I had a realistic dream about meeting him, so that when I woke up I was devastated to realize that it was just a dream. 2. Mance Lipscombe, a fantastic guitar player who grew up as a dirt-poor sharecropper and was discovered by the outside world late in his life. 3. Johnny Adams, great singer, 'nuff said.

No, wait, I also want Willie Dixon, Mississipi John Hurt, Elvis, John Doe and Exene to be there. Oops, too many.
