24 December 2006

One of the most extraordinary obituaries I've ever read - angels help to grow prize-winning vegetables, and "by telepathy the Caddys discovered that Lukano was the captain of a mother ship from Venus".
(...)her daily messages from God, which she received in a nearby public lavatory(...)
I should listen closer - here's me thinking that the pipes were backing up a bit.

Crazy people are so much fun to read about. :)

That was great. Admist all the weirdness, the line that cracked me up was "Though she rapidly gave birth to five children, the marriage was not a happy one." I read that like she got pregnant and had five kids, all within the first hours of marriage.

A good friend of mine died last October and wrote his own obituary. Although I'm obviously personally biased, I thought it was pretty good, in an irreverent way.

How bizarre. The Telegraph must have an interesting obit policy.

Also, apparently, there's going to be a film.

Marxchivist, I noticed that same line! So funny! And I love all the angels and spirit guides telling everyone to break up with their husbands and wives and have sex with other people. You have to! Do it for... the universe!

That was a great read. I liked how they learned to garden from the "vegetable spirits" and "the deva of the garden pea." Don't be too hard on the slugs! That cracked me up.

Bunnies hate Christmas. (youtube) || What three musicians would you get in the same room?
