y'all are an eclectic bunch with good taste. What would *you* put in a playlist with the devics? Right now I've got Loquat, Over the Rhine and the Arrogants, but none of them are quite satisfying the "rats, that's it for the devics tunes, wish there was more" need for the play list.

Never heard of the Devics, but I adore OtR. As such, I will go listen and see what I come up with.

Okay. After sampling three or four tracks, here's two recommendations: The Innocence Mission and Hem.

Of course, jonmc might be onto something, provided you picked one of the more Hobbit-friendly tracks from Songs from the Elder.

Oooh, Devics. I discovered them on WOXY a few months ago and picked up their latest album, which is fantastic. Have you got the Emily Haines solo album? That's quite similar in style. If you're looking for a couple of standout tracks, Doctor Blind and Crowd Surf Off A Cliff spring to mind.
