Celebrity (non)Scents (self link)→[More:]A post on my blog about made up celebrity perfumes based on the celeb's outward persona that I spent a fair amount of time working on and think is reasonably funny. If anyone wants to give it a read and post thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

Its meant to be funny but it might come off as kind of mean.

I actually almost did one for Teh Jeet but figured (rightly) that he already had one. Does it smell like dirt, pine tar and faded dreams?

He plays for the Yankees, so it actually smells like shit and evil.

(I'm against scent on general principles, I don't want to smell like anything other than a clean person, and I don't much care for it on other people either. Celebrity scents are even weirder. What's the logic? 'If I smell like him, I can be him?' Not actually like him really, but some abstract perception of him...The world makes less sense everyday.)

I'm with you on smells, I like clean more than anything else. The celebs selling stink juice are just trying to squeeze a little more cash out of their name and fame and that smells rotten to me.

Although this morning I used some of pips' vanilla body wash in the shower. I now smell like a milkshake.

Pips: chalk, Kahlua, whiteout - named, ? (needs a name)

Jan: bunnies, steel, lilac - named "OMG" (of course!)

Specklet: peppermint, blueprint, gardenia - named, "Whuffled"

Seanyboy: books, grass, scones - named "Poetry"

iconomy: paste, coconut, mixed floral - named "Icon"

stilicho, I wouldn't be surprised if its been done before. I'd like to think I came up with it myself but its probably derived from pop culture anyway.

But I think I will probably make it a regular thing, it was just too fun to do!
