Guess Where I'm Going Tomorrow? [More:]To see the Rockettes! 9 a.m. Saturday morning show! Woo!
Aww, I wanted to show this cute dancing smiley Rockettes thing, but it's not working. Oh well.

COOL!

I got to see them when they came to Atlanta a couple of years ago, and they were phenomenal.

I miss the Rockettes. They've held a very special place in my heart since childhood.

Have fun, Pinky!

Hey, my aunt's friend's daughter is a Rockette! Maybe you'll see her!

When I was in first grade, my mother made me take dance lessons. (Her version, of course, is that I begged to. Anyone who knows me knows this cannot possibly be true.)

Anyway, the decrepit old dance teacher was a former Rockette.

Want to hear the rest of the story? Huh? Do you?

Well, during the dance recital, my class did a maypole dance. And as the music started, some other little girl stole my ribbon. Yes! She stole my ribbon! So I had to go find another ribbon.

My mother's version -- which I'm pretty sure I heard immediately following the recital -- is that I wandered around during the performance, looking lost, and she wanted to crawl under her chair. I think it's still one of her most embarrassing moments.

And this is why I don't dance.

Thanks for the memories, TPS!

btw # 2 ...

The Rockettes Christmas show is famous for its LIVE nativity scene on stage. Real animals, real impressive.

But the Rockettes do an Easter show in the spring time. Some have joked that this would be better known/ better attended if it featured a LIVE crucifixion on stage.

heh.
