First job-search callback! Woot! Or email-back. Whatever. In any event, I sent off my first resume, and they cared enough to respond. That's what I'm getting at here.
woot! That's a 100% response rate. It can only go downhill from here... (kidding!)

*imagines occhiblu nailing bottle caps to a pair of shoes, then tap-dancing on a table for the job interview, Tracy Ullman style*

Good for them, good for you. May it turn into the first of several good options.

It's for a super-cool nonprofit, doing support work. The hours seem perfect, the work seems important and interesting, and... well, we'll see how it goes.

Right now I'm just basking in the 1000 batting average. :-)

Good job occhiblu! Now that I'm hooked up with a gig, I can release all of the job karma I've been hoarding and shunt it your way.

Well, who in their right mind wouldn't want to employ you?

Well, who in their right mind wouldn't want to employ you? :) :) :)

I actually come across much better in person than on paper, I think. Which probably means I need a resume overhaul, but... my experience and education leave me equipped to do a wide variety of things, but also leave me without huge qualifications for any one particular thing. I know that I'm smart enough to pick up the details once I start a job, but that's sometimes hard to convey before I'm actually hired.

The plight of an English major, I guess. One of the reasons I'm excited about getting my Masters is that I'll be qualified (and eventually licensed) to do one particular thing.

That's very cool, and let's hope it leads to a good new job. * crosses fingers *
