When I saw this sketch when it originally aired, I thought it was freakin' hilarious. Then, one day in IRC recently, I remembered it and searched for it, posted the link to IRC, and every single one of us was like "meh", and I felt dumb. My memory of the sketch was waaaaaaaaay funnier than the sketch actually was. And that's a shame.
Whenever a joke goes bad, I just say "it was just a little...humor joke?"
Then I listen the awkward silence, so then I explain the whole bit with the Hong Kong Danger Duo and the Astronaut and the Irish guy who pisses himself and then the whole "go drink some Tang" thing and how astronauts aren't real people.
Then I listen to the awkward silence again and I try to keep my mouth shut.
Hey. Hold on there. I saw this when it originally aired and I saw it again a month or so ago when it was on my girlyfriend's dad's free On Demand. FUNNIER! EVERY! TIME!
