I remember hearing a story from a few years ago about Rowling, just before one of the books (4th? 5th?) hit the shelf. A little girl asked her what would happen to Harry after he graduated from Hogwarts, presumably hoping the author would indicate an intent to document the wizard's life further. Rowling purportedly responded--to the little girl's face, mind you--"What makes you think Harry Potter will live that long?"
Maybe Harry and his magic "wand" will go into porn.
Also, what Wolfdog said, even though you forgot to capitalize most of that sentence, especially the skilled writer part.
I was there tonight. I like Stephen King and Professor Lupin is the HP character closest to my heart (for the same reasons why my email and nick are ninyabruja and brujita), but my great love is John Irving. Kathy Bates was the one who introduced Stephen King (I'm your biggest fan: Hee!)--who read the Lard Ass section from "The Body"--there were lots of kids, Andre somebody ( a wrestler?) introduced John Irving--who made Owen Meany sound like an old harridan-- and John Stewart introduced JKR--who read from Half-Blood Prince; no teasers. :-(
When JKR says "two characters will die," I hope she means "at least two," not "exactly two." I'm hoping for the Shakespearean-tragedy, all-major-characters-die ending myself.
