My mon had adopted a stray cat that meowed so much she called it Howard Cosell. After taking it to the vet, mom had to change the name to Mrs. Howard.

I loved the dog story. So apropos today. I left for work this morning, to discover a tiny kitten peering out at me from the wheel well of my minivan. What to do? I called out of work, waited for my vet to open, and called them to check it out. I have two indoor cats, and I don't want to risk them getting sick. This kitten is way underweight, with a cold. She was wormed, tested for FEV and Filv (negative) bathed, and she has a prescription for her runny nose. This is the 9th cat I've had in my life, all but one being a stray of some kind. Fate.
