iPod Issue. →[More:] My iPod won't completely power down all of a sudden. It's draining the battery. Am I missing something obvious?

How do you mean? It won't turn off when you hold down 'play'?

Also, googling "my ipod won't power down" gets 0 results (weird...), but googling "my ipod won't turn off" gets eleventy billion.

When I hold down play, it goes into 'low power,' but not all the way off. Maybe after I charge it tonight it'll be back to normal. (I tried both approaches above.

I don't know if you can get it to power down, but I hear if you take your iPod to the drive-in you can usually get to third base before the second feature starts.

It should just shut itself off. Maybe the hold switch is a little engaged somehow?

I also heard that if you have an ipod I might cook you and eat when the revolution comes.

(Now that I have no ipod, I am a ball of iresentment.)

Did you pay your monthly subscription to Apple? They can shut your iPod down remotely, ya know.

And the video iPods? They watch you!

I want my iPod to be able to play music backwards so I can listen in on Britney's secret plans for world domination via Cheetos and Dr. Pepper.

Battery meters on iPods aren't al that great. Even after a full charge, my 3G will display low power until it remains on for more than three minutes. Try playing with the click wheel before it shuts off - the voltage reading should gradually climb to a more accurate level.

It's back to normal, although the battery is 90% drained.
But at least it still works.
