King of all he surveys →[More:]Ever wanted to be a King, for real? Piel Island is looking for someone to take over the running of its only pub. With the pub comes the title of King of Piel.

Sadly, the title is meaningless - you can't start wars, levy taxes or chop off your enemies' heads. But wouldn't it look great on your passport? "Occupation : King"

Piel Island is situated off the southern tip of Walney Island, lying three miles southeast of Barrow-in-Furness.

That tells me nothing. It looks like pretty much the butt-end of nowhere, though. Do we at least get free visits from essexjan?

If I'm going to be king of all I survey, I want to be one of those guys who surveys hot chicks at the mall.

The only way I'd take the position is if I could one or two "free" executions a year so I could shout "Off with his head" and really mean it.
