Normal old 2-day weekend for me. AND I have to come in to work at 6 AM on Monday to cover somebody who took the day off. (*grumble*)

It's my Friday too, and I didn't even want to come in today.

Friday AM I'm planting perennials and power sanding the floor of my porch. Then I'm going to the beach until Monday. Monday I have to come home and clean because my daughter invited a college friend to stay with us, and my house is a mess. But it needed to be cleaned anyway, so no big deal. I kind of like cleaning once I get started.

And we just bought a backuum, which is like, the coolest thing ever. I actually look for things to clean with it, and my kids fight over who gets to use it.

What long weekend? It is going to be work for me for the most part. I will take a day off and half days here and there hopefully to go to the beach. Weather permitting. Oh, and get to my Hampton digs of course(blink blink, hellbient!)

I overslept slightly this morning and woke up to find the cat inches from my face, staring at me, and to realize that I had about 30 seconds before I was supposed to be conference-called into a meeting. It was not the most relaxing thing in the world.
