Check out wikipedia today The featured article is on the Catlins region of NZ, where my mum was born (me, an hour north). Several of the pics in my flickr stream were taken there. It's beautiful.
New Zealand blows my mind. I never realized how amazing it was until I worked with a native Kiwi. Her pictures and stories made me desperate to visit. She passed away right before my daughter was born, which makes me more determined than ever to get there.
Ah, the beautiful Eastern Territory. The South Island is definitely the prettiest part too (though that's saying something as there are also stunning parts of the North Island).
The Kiwis are also wonderful people, but please don't let them know I said that.
