A flattened, charred, oozing, very rotten jack o'lantern? God it's disgusting. I think I see maggots in the upper right corner. And there are flies above the left eyehole. Whee!

It's actually kind of pretty, in a lurid, shiny way. The colours are well balanced.
Cutting parties are something else, altogether.

People who have a strong impulse towards self-harm, banding together for courage and safety. That kind of thing is on the "friends don't let friends.... " list of rules as far as I'm concerned.
=) I love it that we'll likely never know the answer, but warm ourselves with visions of coals, or shudder at the thought of swollen dead flesh.
