17 April 2006

No Title I just got back from the doctor's and I have a six centimetre cyst on my right ovary.[More:]I have to wait three months and go back and if it's not shrunk I'll need surgery. The test for ovarian cancer will be back in a week. I have to make a speech on monday on stupid politics, which I suddenly don't give much of a shit about.

This could serve as a reminder to all the bunnies out there to get their parts checked. 'Cause you never know.

I had an ultrasound a few months back because my doc thought she felt a lump in my breast. Everything came back normal, though. But I was scared for a while and didn't tell anyone that I was worried about it until the day of the ultrasound.

I know the worry you're going through. I get my test results on Wednesday for the biopsies on my breast lump. At least I hope I do. When I went to the hospital 3 weeks ago for what I thought were the results of the previous tests, I ended up having more biopsies.

Hugs and love to btgog and jan.

My wife and her sister both had ovarian cysts removed in their mid twenties. Everything was fine afterwards.

I'm sorry to hear it, and I hope that it all turns out ok. Take care of yourself.

I hope everything turns out alright. When my mom had cancer, the waiting for results was the hardest thing, and my family's being near while she waited made it easier. If you feel anxious, look out a window or step outside. Laughter is the best medicine; smiles work, too. Hugs. You'll most likely be okay anyway, and surrounding yourself with smiles and love never hurt. Take care.

I had an ovarian cyst removed in my mid-20s, too. Hope that's all it is. Stay calm by distracting yourself with totally unrelated stuff. Go to a scary movie or something.

These things can be scary. Lots of hugs and everything!

Ugh. I went through this last year. Felt like I spent half my life in the MRI machine. It was really scary.

Keep us updated. Feel free to e-mail me if you need a sympathetic ear.

I will also add my hugs and wish you peace while you're waiting. Distractions here are key, why not take a half of a day and go to a spa or a fancy dinner or a hike in the woods? Treat yourself to something special.

Best wishes to you, btgog. This stuff is scary, but you're young and so the chance that the cyst is malignant is slim. Keep us posted.

(don't worry I'll do it anyway. I still understand why it needs done, just am PISSED.)
