Wow. Um, wtf was it forced to regurgitate?

Happy First Post!

BTW, does your nickname have anything to do with the "Big Music" period of the band the Waterboys?

I love 'em, but their music style varies in a huge way depending on the mood of Mike Scott. "Fishermen's Blues" is all very folky "celtic" rock showing off the fiddle work of Steve Wickham (of U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday, etc.)

"Room to Roam" is folksy and has plenty of Wickham, but it's also very whimsical... one of my all time favorite albums. I'm all about the whimsy and humor.

The "Big Music" period had a... big sound, not so much fiddle, often some brass, and featured tunes like A Girl Called Johnny and Whole of the Moon and All the Things She Gave Me.

"Dream Harder" was a radical departure, all about Mike having learned to play electric guitar and going nuts on it, and is also one of my favorite albums, although it took a few listens for me to get used to the sound and the lack of Steve Wickham's fiddle. Several other Mike Scott or Waterboys albums are experimental, or stripped down acoustic guitar, etc.

If you're interested and you're LimeWiring or such, I'd suggest pulling up Sweet Thing, Whole of the Moon, the Return of Pan, Fishermen's Blues, maybe Church Not Made With Hands, the Raggle Taggle Gypsy, Islandman...

Cheers!

The album "This is the Sea" is incredible. It has had a profound influence on my life. Everyone should give it a listen. It's beautiful.
