the one i really wanted to win-- Bag News Notes -- came in 2nd in its big category (it lost to firedoglake, which is excellent so that's ok) but won for something else.

Yeah, was nominated. Best single issue blog.

But like I said, I've been in hiding from my own fucking web site (and my own fucking life), so i didn't even find out about the nomination until my mom told me. And my volunteer writer -- well.... We didn't win.

I'm an idiot and an asshole. Yay!

The problem I have with the whole self-involved "blogosphere" shows here in that they never actually explain what the Koufax awards are. I guess I'm just not blognoscenti. (That's probably why only two people commented on this post).

they're like the People's Choice Awards for blogs, sort of...it's vote-decided. They're a good way to find out about sites you never heard of before.
