In high school I ran into someone I hadn't seen since nursery school. She walked right up to me and said, "Hi, Shane!"

Some of us never really change, I guess.

There's a photo of me over at my parent's and as much as I love all of youse, I'm not going over there to get it, scan it and post it, so I'll just describe it to you.

So, I was about 10, and my parents took my sister and I so Sears' Portrait Studio or whatever. Now, handsome kid though I was, I had never been to a semi-professional photo shoot before. The flashes were really, really bright, and just kept coming.

You have to understand that at age 10, I didn't really have any concept of how fast cameras and flashes worked. And these flashes, they kept making me blink... so I figured I would be blinking in all the shots.

So I tried really hard, really really hard to keep myself from blinking, to keep my eyes open.

So the picture is my sister in front of me, looking cute and normal, and me looking like a wide-eyed 10 year old psychopath.

Non-scanner people - you can take pictures of your pictures! Just avoid the flash and they'll come out just fine.

When I was in my late 20's a guy recognized me from school. I didn't remember him, but assumed it was highschool. It turned out to be from first grade.

Y'all think I'm hot now? I was much hotter in high school. AND, I even have a cheesy photo of me with a perm AND I'm wearing my freshman year tall flags day uniform.

Did I say "bristling" with anticipation? Nay! I'm spasming with anticipation.

Something really awful happened between the days when I was a cute little kid and the high school years. Something really, really awful.

Sadly, I don't have access to a scanner, but I indeed have a mullet in my high school yearbook photo senior year. Actually half the males and several females in there do. The 80's were a weird decade.
