Sewn Glass "Once a seamstress, I now sew glass panels together to create translucent vessels and sculpture."
These are amazing. But what I really want to know is where can I get one of these?

That's AWESOME!

What TrishaLynn said. If y'all get a chance to see a glassblower at work, take it.

(Drat! I thought the title of the apron with scissors would turn up in the link: it's called "Don't Bother Me Now I'm Busy." Lots of the other pieces shown on dhruva's original link are as good or better.)

There used to be a fantastic glassblowing place in Long Acre in Covent Garden, about 20 years ago, where you could watch them blowing glass. It was an amazing thing to watch.

Those sewn things are gorgeous.

I love glass.

Equally awesome are the woven-wire sculptures down at Granville Island (Vancouver), in the back corner beside the cement plant. She's using a loom to weave ordinary copper wire into fantastic forms.

And then there's Granville's glass-blowing studio, where you can see dichromic pieces that'll make you horny, if not actually wet your pants.

Or, rather, makes me horny. The colours are just so... wow. Can't even begin to describe them.
