What's up with thread closings around here? Why did the January 4th thread killer thread and the !RECORD SHATTERING! December 26th 10-things redux thread both close the same day? Is it an automatic thing or what?

I think once we moved over to the other server, the auto-close thing stopped and didn't backtrack once we moved back over here or something. i dunno. i just work here man.

sciurus, you big lug, how many times do we have go over this oh-so-tired argument? I was never vying for last post, remember? I merely egged you and TPS on to get the thread past a certain hundred post mark.

Additionally, if you don't think that I wasn't in chat with dodgy as he closed the threads and didn't have ample opportunity to issue the last post (I mean, I got an email every time someone other than me posted to that thread, right?), you just aren't considering all of the possibilities. Tsk, sciurus, I expected much more from my super smart squirrelly man friend!

So, what I'm saying is this: gloat all you want, but I handed that last post to you.

I went to the threadkillers thread all giddy with excitement about my intended addition, but found it locked. So I screamed bloody murder, to no avail.

I loved that thread, though I didn't post all that much to it. I'm sad to see it go, though I guess it had to happen someday (no, it prolly didn't).

And before anyone says, "Get a grip, set your priorities straight, it's just a page on a site, easy, boy," I'd like to respond, "You've got your own priorities, I've got mine. I bet you care about a lot of things I think are fucking dumb. Condescend to me... motherfucker."
