Ever play that game "killer" as a kid where a buncha people sit in a circle looking at each other, and one person is the killer and winks at someone else and then that person is dead, and you can have one guess, but if you are wrong you are dead? You know? With the lights dim? Man, that was fun.

It is a fine game. But I think the best dorky game like that is "essence" - where one person is sent out of the room and everyone else decides who The Person will be - either someone in the room (ideally), or someone everybody personally knows. Then the guesser comes back in and gets five questions like "if this person were an animal, what animal would they be" etc. - then has to guess who it is.

I should run a camp of dorky party games.

Definitely, although I like dance music more than the laid-back ambient.

I dig stuff from the German label Kompakt. Lots of excellent house and tech-house music on that label.
