Probably 'cause Matt or Jess declined to post that question as an anon - it doesn't take re: these threads authorization to post a "normal" askme thread.

Anyway, sounds like a hijacked acount or BS (as Mitheral suggests) but then again - the perceived anonymity of the internet (both ways - oneself as well as others who may reply) may offer a path where someone in that position might want to seek advice.

It does have that little trademark fillip of detail to push it right over the top, yes? Not just his girlfriend's sister, but his blind girlfriend's sister; not just his brother, but his twin brother.

For those who missed it: user confesses to having sex with his twin brother on a regular basis since childhood, wonders how to get out of rut. ( ;) pun intended)

I'm not at all inclined to believe it was for real, and even if it was... what is there to say? He says he's seeing a therapist. Best advice? Keep seeing him/her.

I'm not so sure about "cockamamie"... it seems like a standard sort of porn theme, which makes it more likely (to me) to be a fake.

dg, I gave a thumbnail in this comment. The only other info included was that both twins were involved in regular relationships (with women, I think) outside their thing, and this guy was seeing a therapist.

The MeTa, I never saw.

The AskMe question was up when cmonkey posted it, then it was closed with a reason noted (This is not a confessional), then it was wiped.

Matt's usually not so quick on the draw (especially at 3AM his time), I was hoping quonsar would be mirroring it but I've noticed the old mirrors on meepzorp have disappeared. Maybe he's not doing that anymore.

What bug?

I had the askMefi open in one browser tab, and was refreshing it in another, to see how quickly it would be deleted.

After it was deleted, I saved the non-updated tab (that is, the one showing the text prior to deletion).

When I saw this thread where people were asking what the thread was all about, I decided to post the askmefi verbatim, but without the poster's username.

When I retrieved the saved copy, I found it contained the text after the deletion.
