My schedule is moderately insane, but we'll do our best to show*, whenever it is.
*by show, I mean be present in Vegas. There's a very real chance that I'd have to be tracked down and dragged out of a poker room to remember other events.
I've been to Vegas. I have no desire to go back. You kids have fun, though, and if someone would be kind enough to mail me my share of the blow I'd be much obliged.
Why don't y'all come up here to God's Country instead? We have hookers & blow too, y'know. And there's a volcano and a rainforest and really good beer and, most importantly, it's not 5,000 fucking degrees in the shade here (unless you're inside the volcano at an unfortunate moment).
Washington would be great, but I most likely couldn't afford to go in March anyway. Have this one in Vegas and then have one in a better place when I can go. heh.
I shouldn't like Vegas, but I do. I really do. Whether or not this meetup comes to fruition, the next time I'm headed to LV, I'll be putting out bunny signal.
I'd love to hook up with those brave enough to make the venture, but I also understand those who just can't handle the whole thing.
Have it in Asheville! We're a tourist mecca and also, it's the only place I can afford to go. Everyone can stay here and we'll see how long the plumbing holds out. ;-)
Well, OK then. Vegas is cheap to travel to from all over the country. And dollars are not so plentiful for most of us.
Those of you who want an alternative location need to do some research on travel costs. I'm OK with Vegas AND willing to consider other alternatives. So make a proposal.
This isn't an either/or (XOR) thing. Just because some of us are up for Vegas doesn't mean other national meetups won't happen, right?
And if it doesn't rain today, it will break the longest rainiest spell in history here. It's getting really soggy.
March looks better than February, BTW, but I'm willing to be flexible. I don't think Vegas has an off season only short lulls immediately after national holidays.
I personally am up for a bit of travel -- which is pretty rare for me. But as my Granma used to say, I'm getting fiddlefoot.
I've really been wanting to go to Nashville and/or Memphis. Music history, blues, clubs, Stax Museum, Graceland, Hatch Show Print, Civil Rights Museum, Bluebird Cafe, fried chicken, barbecue. And I can't convince any of my buds to go -- they don't like good music, I guess. Nashville is a Southwest hub. Any takers?
