What I'm finding neat is that I'm sitting across from my wife, who is now listening to the track... and it sounds to me like the sounds are coming from outside her head -- ie. not from the earbuds. I can hear the sound passing behind her head and moving up and down.

She's pretty freaked by it all, actually. "Gave me the willies," she says. I wasn't so impressed myself, what with having owned a Aureal soundcard at one time. And I may have mixed up my earbuds left-to-right.
