Welcome to Homecoming! So glad you all came! Everyone on the dance floor for the Social Mingle. Please give a Homecoming Award to the person who posted above you. →[More:]There's no one above me so I'll just say: thanks everyone for jumping back in here. I meant to log in Thursday and set up a bunch of posts for folks to comment on. Not only were we hosting, which made it busy, but our cat Iris went into a crash state last week. We brought her to the vet where she was swiftly absorbed into their expensive care protocols.Turns out she has diabetes as well as a UTI, so once they released her we started to do all her meds. I fucked up and overdosed her insulin Friday, so back we went to the vet while they regulated her again, and she came back home. Between all this stuff. I never got back to MetaChat. Going to make the most of today. Great to see y'akk.

I'm so glad to see names I haven't seen in ages. In this day and age, this site was a haven and I hope it can remain one. I always felt safe here. Thank you Miko, for inviting everyone to Homecoming!

I'm glad the kitty has a diagnosis. I used to pet sit for a friend, and had to give insulin to their elderly cat twice a day. Cat (Smudge), was very tolerant. Just put the food down, pinch the skin between the shoulder blades, and administer the shot. I swear Smudge never paid attention.
