Covid vaccination →[More:] My wife got her notification. She gets her first Covid shot Monday. I registered the next day so I'm hoping I get the first dose this week as well.

She's a teacher and has all kinda auto-immune stuff going on. I looked at the form and it asked if I was overweight and had high blood pressure. Yes to both qualified me for the shot as well.

Maybe I should have waited until people with worse issues got theirs but... I answered the questionnaire and it put me on the list... so let's see when I get it.

A good friend of mine made a reservation for his first shot. The earliest appointment available was March 2.

Meanwhile, a friend of my wife experienced a similar situation, wherein she selected the soonest date available, but, after filling out all the forms required, the date had been filled and was unavailable.

I'm still outside the age limit (it was recently dropped to 65+) but, at this rate, I doubt I'll be able to get even my first shot until May.

Still looks like many months for me so I got one of these.

$80 for the mask with 2 sets of cartridges that should do for a year. It provides a very nice tight fit and breathing is a lot easier than a cloth or non woven mask. The material is very soft and I almost forget it's on after a few minutes.
