I haven't had a hobby in almost 50 years. I'm not sure where I'd start now.

Yeah, I'm not a 'hobby' person either, in the traditional sense. All the things I like to do outside of work are more like pastimes - cinema, exploring places and taking pictures, going to interesting food markets - and they aren't things I can do indoors.

Toyah-related: In the summer of 2019 I went to a music festival, an annual thing held about 20 miles away that features 70s/80s acts on one of the days. The 2019 headliner was Paul Young, and Toyah was second on the bill. She was bloody marvellous, full of energy, she looked amazing (we are the same age and she looked exactly as she did when I knew her from my days as a music journo, 40+ years ago), and she got everyone up and dancing and singing along.

Paul Young, otoh, was drunk as a skunk and it was embarrassing to witness how bad he was, his voice gone, slurring and falling all over the stage. I know he's had tragedy in his life, but the general consensus was that he looked as if he needed help. Sad.

I've never seen Toyah but I can imagine she would be fun live.
