Community organizations you follow or work with on social media. I'm looking for good examples of non-profits, charities, and other community organizations social media presence. [More:] One of the problems with having an organization on Facebook or Twitter is finding material to feed the gaping maw of the social media space.

If you don't post enough then you drop off of people's feeds but if all you do is post donate/volunteer/buy tickets all the time people get tired of it.

Anyone follow any good examples or are you part of one?

The Tenement Museum is quite good at engaging content.

I think for museums in particular, there should always be something to post--just post an image of an artefact and be like 'the person who made this was born on this day in 1879...'

I can't think of particular profiles I enjoy but I do follow the Getty Museum in LA on Twitter.
