What have you been watching lately? We've been watching Young Pope and sorta, kinda liking it but can't quite figure out what it's trying to do. Finally getting to see Hidden Figures on Friday as my wife's office (tech company) is going out for a field trip to see it and I'm tagging along.

[More:]What have you all been watching?
We've been watching Sneaky Pete. Decent entertainment but not the most believable storylines.

Not much, really. We catch Victoria on Sunday night, but that's the only thing we make an actual effort to watch. Maybe Superstore on Thursdays. Beyond that, TV is mostly just background noise. We haven't any streaming service, so there's none of that going on here.

Oh...and Jeopardy. Every day. LOL

I've been rewatching Gilmore Girls (two episodes left!) so that I can watch the new episodes that came out around Thanksgiving.

We're watching Gotham, Taboo, and then there's a bunch of stuff on the DVR - Victoria, the Expanse, Supergirl. We moved in November, so we lost a lot of our episodes of things and haven't been able to catch up, really.

And, now that we have moved and have more space, the living room isn't the common area any longer, with the single tv, so we're not actually watching as much tv as we were.

I've been watching college gymnastics, Top Chef, bits of old movies, this documentary about the Harvey Girls, and some opera.

I just finished watching Case, an Icelandic thriller. It was gripping, but bleak, no happy endings for anyone really.

I'm also really loving This Is Us. When I saw the first episode I thought how much it reminded me of thirtysomething, and then I saw that the producer is Ken Olin, who played Michael in thirtysomething, so no surprise there. We're a few episodes behind the States, our last episode being the one set on Christmas Eve. It had me in tears. No spoilers please.

I stream a few things online that I can't get here - Top Chef being a favourite, along with Project Runway (whichever version is on at any particular time) and Top Model. I'm also a sucker for 90-Day Fiance, Hoarders and all kinds of dating shows. I have no shame.

There are a couple of 'contestant reality' shows on TV here at the moment that I'm really enjoying - Portrait Artist of the Year, and the Great Pottery Throwdown. Both involve art, a bit of learning for me about different creative techniques, and the 'who's going to win and who's going home?' element that I also really like.

Winter is a time for holing up in my jammies on the sofa watching too much TV.

Trying to watch Case but not really getting into it. Similarly with Sneaky Pete.
Just finished the Sweedish weird Angelby and Good Behavior. Also watched Orthodox Jewish TV dramas: Srugim which may be on Netflix or maybe Amazon. Shtisel is on Vimeo for pay but here for free.

Watching COSMOS with Neil deGrasse Tyson, and BoJack Horseman. It's a nice balance.

Relearning how to watch TV. We canceled our Dish satellite service, and signed up for Playstation Vue. My company (fiber optic ISP) recently started paying for my Internet, and so it was a good time to cut the cord and start saving some money. I say re-learned because while we rarely watched TV live, Playstation Vue is such a different interface that it is taking a bit of time to get used to. There is a guide for live TV though. Overall, it is excellent.

We only recently started watching Netflix too, and a few faves are: The Detour, No Tomorrow and Sirens.

The biggest challenge is that we don't have local channels other than 1. So we miss Jeopardy. :(

I'm totally out of the loop about tv. I just don't have time and really no interest. I do see jeopardy on the nights that I stay with Mom; and that's interesting.

(I picked up a third job so there is only a little bit of time to do all the things. And I'm quite tired.)

I'm not feeling much love for TV these days. I do find myself missing The Good Wife. I would love to have seen what they could have done with the Trump era.

Also, I bought a month of Netflix so I can watch all the Poirot episodes again.

Always Jeopardy! We keep up on Bones. I have several guilty pleasures: The Blacklist, Gotham, and thus far, 24: Legacy and APB.

P.S. Hurrah Poirot! I never get tired of any movie or series about Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot.

I had no idea that there were so many Jeopardy fans around here. I haven't really watched it much since the '90s when my dad was still around and liked to talk about the episodes.

Addicted to Jeopardy! for years, except for a short period after I actually was on the show and had discovered what a creep Alex Trebec is. But love that show just the same.
