Friday Question NOT from the Book of Questions So, care to share any resolutions for 2017?
I have quite a few. One is 4 separate months of no alcohol. My plan is to get to 12 months of alcohol, increasing by a month a year. (I did achieve my goal of 3 separate months of none this year.)
I'm also grimly determined to resist what I think is coming in 2017 with the new administration and to work toward very different outcomes in 2018 and 2020.
I have a big one that I'd rather not say in case it doesn't happen. But smaller ones include the usual lose weight/get fit that I resolve to do each year.
The big one for me is to find a way to do a lateral career move from software QA to being a software developer. My manager is behind me on this but there are circumstances that in my way that will require some careful navigation. I've been in QA/test for almost nineteen years and am ready for a move and want a career that will carry my for the next fifteen years until I retire.
Octothorpe I'm in software development myself. Contemplating working until retirement in IT can seem a bit daunting I find.
But I guess de mens lijdt het meest aan het lijden dat hij vreest. (a grandmothers motto that means something like exhorting yourself to think "we'll cross that bridge when we get there").
