How goes your US election day?

Wearing my navy pantsuit with pearls and heels. I'm hopeful but stressed. No voting places in my deep blue county -- we have mail in balloting. We voted two weeks ago at our kitchen table so it's all been waiting since then.

Was at the voting place at 6:55 this morning and there was already 35+ people lined up. Only took about twenty minutes once they opened up.

The rest of the day has been stressful waiting to find out if we stave off disaster for another four years or not.

So busy! Voting, Bris, two doctors appointments, phone banking, and soon, watch party! I am exhausted and was silly enough to make BREAKFAST plans in NYC for tomorrow! It'll be nice to see a friend I never see.

70 people in the line when we got there at 6a. There was a 15 min delay starting (only 1 of 2 in the state according to the paper) and we were done by 6:50a. Pretty quiet day otherwise. Kind of wishing I could have a drink tonight. Will make due with plain hot chocolate instead.
