OK I get it and I think it's neat. I would be pretty psyched to get a message this way. But I wonder .. it says "Safety note: These pigeons are for novelty use only and are not intended for children or for use as a toy." So it's hardy enough to withstand postal worker abuse and being tossed in mailboxes, but kids shouldn't play with it?
