Project Runway SPOILERS Let's talk about this week's Project Runway episode SPOILERS! [More:] How do we feel about the use of the Tim Gunn save??? TWOP is split; some feel it was well deserved, others feel it was an emotional save and not a rational one. How do you feel?
I was so happy! I was so upset at the judging, and then they went to the back room, and I was like "TIM GUNN YOU SHOULD HAVE USED YOUR SAVE AND NOW I'M MAD AT YOU!!!!" And because I have no short-term memory, I forgot the "coming soon" preview bits with Tim being all serious-talk, and I had thought that the Tim Gunn Save (TM) would be launched during judging, or on the runway, and so when they were all back in the room I thought it was too late. Which I understand was the directors' intention.

But then he saved him! And I was all "YAY TIM GUNN!" again!

Um, yeah. Basically, I thought it was a good use of the save. Mainly because Ken should have gone home, and I think it was sucky that Justin hadn't ever been in the bottom three before but they sent him home. His garment this week was not great but at least he took a risk, and he obviously hadn't been particularly disappointing before, and I think they should reward that, or at least not ultra-penalize it. I really thought the original judging was extremely unfair on the bottom three. (I did love their top three, and while I would have voted for the love-letter dress, I totally understood why Alexandria won.)

I was OK with the save. I didn't think the glue gun lace treatment was that bad until he started globbing it up into a rosette of gibberish. As a small border or trim, it wasn't terrible. I don't think he's going to win, but I also don't think he's anywhere near the worst designers still there.

I can't think of many designers I'd rather have Tim save - the strongest ones don't seem in danger of bottoming out.

His previous stuff has not been that great, from what I could tell, but I'm really glad to have it off the table, because it's sad and stressful to see Tim have to explain why he didn't use it at the end of every episode like some accusatory finger at our increasingly mushifying Mr. Gunn.

Have you seen the get up they have him in on the website? If they try to make him juggle I will not stand for it.

Pro tip: loopy glue gun glue is always bad.

Ken needs to go home, okay? Say that in his voice. Being Justin's friend is his only redeeming factor so far, except, yeah, he's pretty funny with his whole being ridiculous thing, but not in a good way, necessarily...? His white harness thing looked like crap without Sandro's style abandonment joie de vivre.

Glamping sounds like a procedure you don't talk about in public, but lazy, expensive camping sounds fabulous.

I'm glad Justin was saved, although I wonder if it might be too early in the season for it. It's clear that last season Tim did an 'unofficial' save to persuade the judges not to send Michelle home on the 'editorial' challenge (when she made by far the most beautiful outfit, but deliberately ignored the brief). But that was when there were fewer contestants left and she was obviously head and shoulders above them all in both her design skills and execution.

Justin clearly took a risk with that glue lace, whereas Ken made a series of awful choices, from the fabric to the design to the execution. I'm enjoying Ken, though, for the bitchiness. After all, where would PR be without the draaah-maaah! I hope Ken sticks around long enough for the 'real women' challenge. That's always my favourite week.

I thought Bradon dodged a bullet this week. But I hated Karen's shapeless tent. Ugh, it was awful. For me that was the worst design. It was a non-design.

Jeremy's dress was gorgeous. If I was 5ft 10 and 110lbs I'd wear bias-cut floor-length gowns all the time. Looking at his bio, his design credentials are impressive - he has a Masters from Central St Martins. He's one of my favourites to win.

I was very glad Tim used his save. The judges got that so wrong. Karen should have been aufed for that shapeless tent. I thought for sure Ken would be out (though I actually liked his dress), since the first thing Nina said about it was "BORING!" Usually boring Nina = kiss of death.

I thought it was an emotional save. I thought Justin's was definitely the worst, and that ostensibly they shouldn't be judging on previous performance (they always say that, but this year with the judges supposedly not knowing the designer when they come down the runway, I thought they were acknowledging that a little more explicitly).

I think Tim's save should have been used for when a really good designer totally crashes and burns. Justin's not good enough to win, I think that's obvious.

Love Jeremy's dress as well. I really like Dom overall as well, and her dress was interesting.
