Mid-month Goals Check In! Alrighty, so how are y'all doing on your goals so far this month?[More:]

1. Get base made for new silver bra. (Stretch goal would be to start decorating it too.)
I'm also done covering the cups with fabric for the bra.


2. Be awesome at performance(s) this month (potentially at the Irie Cafe hafla and definitely with Urban Gypsy via webcast).

Haven't prepped too much for these yet, but we did pick out a piece to do for Irie.

3. Rock 2 work things this month (ILLiad upgrade and staff tour).
Staff tour went well, even though someone bitched about the amount of paper we use.

4. Do well in props class and start basics class in Baltimore.
Props class is going well even though I'm still struggling with a reverse plank. Basics class is going to be tons of fun.
Good progress sperose! (It's my day off too)

I didn't set goals but I am giving myself stark raving kudos:

A few minutes ago I finished organizing my workroom and I actually PUT AWAY ALL THE PAPERS!

I loathe opening mail and dealing with official looking papers. And, yet, I PUT AWAY ALL THE PAPERS! Now I'm rewarding myself with iced coffee and catlap.

Sperose - what is props class? I was thinking how to create props, but now I'm not sure. (unless you're making actual planks?)

Mightshould - congrats! I think sometimes dealing with all the papers can be really hard. (especially after going over to my mom's this weekend and seeing papers *everywhere*)

Goals -
1. Pin down costumes for DragonCon - plan, and at least start working on the vest. Find new corset pattern that I ordered and start looking it over. I've had costume discussions, and have made progress - found some links, made a vest mockup. I count this a success so far. Found the corset pattern as well, and determined that it might not actually be the right size. I'll try anyway. :P

2. Survive pug patella surgery. Pug rehab? Ye-es.. so far, so good. She seems to be doing well, and is actually using her leg a smidge. Still have the cone of shame, and still walking her several times a day, but she's graduated from being carried down the stairs to using the ramp - and it's only been a week and a half, so this is completely a success so far.

3. Exercise. Do couch to 5k or jogging 3x week, at least. Um, no. Not at all. I felt crappy last week and was having neck issues and possible coming down with something issues, so I didn't do anything. Hopefully this week!

1. Continue to lose weight - Going well. I've started a Reboot after watching Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead last week. I plan to do 10 days and then see if I can extend it for another 10. The hot, hot weather is helping, I don't feel like cooking.

2. Exercise a little more. - Again, going well. I'm walking more, went running on Sunday, but because of the heat running has to be done early morning or late at night.

3. De-clutter my bedroom
- I got rid of a load of clothes to charity, but have yet to empty a big drawer which is full of toiletries. This weekend, I promise ...

4. See "A Chorus Line" before it closes at the end of the month. - Done! I saw it last Saturday, front row of the Royal Circle (after all, it was the London Palladium, where the Queen goes to the theatre ...) Great show.

So, well on track to achieve everything by the end of the month.

I'm doing good; exercise continues; and a storage shed will ease the too much to sort debris field in the basement.

Props class is a bellydance props class. It's a 6 week session for using balancing props (so tray, candles, sword, whatever you can put on your head, etc.). Since everyone in the class (about 5-7 women) has swords, that's what we've been using. We do a reverse plank during the choreography with our swords on our heads with some undulations and this weird foot/leg move.

Hooray for everyone! Putting away papers is also one of my nemesis.

Congrats to everyone on your mid-month successes! Glad to hear Hugh Janus' heart is beating well.

Here are mine:

1. I joined Myfitnesspal, I want to track my food intake for a full month. I would be very happy at the end of the month to have managed to keep up with it.

This has been the easiest to do. I just always keep a tab open on my browser, and log food as I eat it. This has been great for me to see an approximation of the amount of food/fuel I am taking in each day, as well as the amount of energy I expend exercising.


2. Finalize my fall travel plans, I have two trips to make, one for business, one for fun. I need to get both of those taken care of so I can stop stressing.


Done-ish? One trip is, but I can't take any credit for it. I still haven't gotten my ticket for the other trip. But now I am not stressing about it, so I'm all good.

3. Frame photographs! I have gorgeous photos of Iceland that I need to mat and frame.


No where close. I doubt I will do anything else this month. Boo.

No progress to speak of!

2. Do my upcoming July 14 half marathon.

Nope. Laid low by back pain. Still gritting my teeth today.

3. Get our September presentation entirely done.

I have hopes of this. I got my part done, at least.

1. clean up and paint the base for the bathroom sink. No, but I did find a new builder to replace the one who has gone missing.
2. organize the stuff that needs to be stored and store it.
Not much, but I did clean the living room enough to not scare visitors.
3. swim 3x week. Was prevented by rain for a bit, but swam 2x last week, and 2x so far this week.
