Sesame Street in the year 2013 When I was a young'un, back in the twentieth century, Sesame Street dealt with numbers and letters. Now they're addressing the emotional stress kids experience from having a parent in prison.
I love Sesame Street!

Sesame Street really started dealing with social issues in the 1980s. They have done segments on deaht and grief (Mr. Hooper), divorce, different family compositions, etc. At that time, Maria getting pregnant on the show was controversial. I think they've been pretty responsive to all kinds of things kids experience for a while.

...and nowadays Sesamestreet features Graaf Tel!
Which betrays a total misunderstanding of the wordplay in the name 'Count von Count'.
