Cleaning battery acid? Anyone know off the bat how or if one can clean off dried, leaked battery acid from a terminal?[More:] I opened an old flashlight and one of the batteries leaked (I think it's an Energizer, the only batteries that have ever leaked on me, though not literally on me, thankfully) so it's inside and not easily, say, scrubbable and it's not rubbing off at all.

It's a good flashlight, with a fluorescent bar light opposite the handle. Like a camping light (?) not like a Maglite, although I have a big one of those, and maybe a small one... I have a remarkable number of flashlights, come to think of it.
Btw, it's green and crystallized.

Baking soda, vinegar and very sturdy gloves. If you can get a bottle brush down there, that might help scrape it.

Mix it up inside over a well ventilated sink or drain. Swish it around and pour it out. Put some baking soda on the brush (or sponge w/fork) and see what else can be taken out.

Thanks. Tomorrow, I'll try some vinegar and see if it loosens or if I can stab it with a toothpick or something.

So tired. So much physical activity. Must function from a horizontal position for at least the next 12 hours.

Threw on some clothes I found to go to this meeting, must have been synthetic because they were strangely unbearable.

Chatty chatty chat chat.
