So for months now, this expensive fashion brand from NY has been blanketing me with thousands of google ads. Just huge amounts of advertising. So I sent them an email with a modest proposal: image link
That's awesome. I think the idea of gifting a gift from a brand is brilliant, especially in the manner you propose. I think there's a swath of companies that would be better served by putting their advertising dollars into free stuff rather than advertising. However, the internet is post cool now, so that's what's getting attention...
Oddly, I was considering similar action just today with the MOMA, only I just wanted a membership discount, not even a membership. I was going to ask here if anyone had a membership, thus a discount or was interested in getting one and just wanted an excuse to pull the trigger. I would get one if I had a chance of getting to a museum any time soon, but it is not to be.
