I made my first infographic Song Quality of Titles Beginning with ‘Call Me’: image link
You didn't include Petula Clark or Aretha Franklin or Al Green or Go West or "Irresponsible" Frank Sinatra or "The Breeze" J.J. Cale*

More recent but less chart-topping: Le Click, Australia's The Cops, Shinedown, Temple of the Dog, Queen & Paul Rodgers**, Yoko Kanno (from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack), Gotye's friend Kimbra*** or Kim Possible (actually Christina Milian).

And would Chicago's "Call On Me" count? How about Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al"? Or my personal favorite 'Call Me' song: "You Never Even Call Me By My Name"?

If you ever have questions about pop music, CALL ME.

*some people remember it as a Lynyrd Skynyrd song, but this was the original - and IMO better - version.
**I'm missing Freddie Mercury more every day...
***which opens up a serious pop music feud possibility... SONG FIGHT!

Wow, foop... clicking on your first link, I realize that I love Petula Clark; I always have and always will, but never realized it until now.

(or maybe that's the Black Russians talking)

I like the infographic though, and looking forward to the update with oneswellfoop's inputs.

I don't know why I got so obsessed (I think it started with seeing the original infographic and screaming to myself "WHERE'S PETULA CLARK?!?") but while including them all would make for a very cluttered display (then again, 'cluttered' and 'infographic' just seem to go together), the ones from the top row are ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY for a reasonably complete overview. And I'll be ready to jump down Firas' throat if he doesn't give the older songs their due... I remember back when the Blondie song was new, and so often was declared failed by comparison to Petula and Aretha...

that's awesome, oneswellfoop!! you should make a youtube playlist of these if you have an account there

Why do I need a youtube playlist when I have my own blog? See, I don't trust any of my intellectual property to Google properties anymore, but I'll happily imbed theirs ;)

Every two or three years there's usually one girl pop song that I like. Call Me Maybe is one of those.

good job foop (though I'm not sure how you determined I'm pop music obsessed! but fair enough for purposes of a writeup)
