I used to read these regularly. I was just reminded of it and found this one entertaining, so I thought I'd share.
Wow - I haven't even thought about these in ages, but I used to be a big fan. A few times a year I'd hit the library and catch up on the all of the Harpers indexes. There usually wasn't much else in the magazine that interested me, so eventually I ended up just going right to the Index and not even looking at rest of the magazine.

Yes, I like these too, though I haven't read them in years. It does put things in perspective, that's for sure.
