Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie on The Merv Griffin Show in 1980.
Aww. I think the first time I ever heard Blondie was as a kid, from a car radio as we were parked in an alley somewhere in Queens or Brooklyn, waiting for something or someone. There wasn't really any music around the house until I was around 10?. Sometimes when I hear Heart of Glass I see the view out the back window of a Chevy Nova of brick and store fronts.

I never did get the appeal of Merv as an interviewer.

I didn't think Merv Griffin was still on in 1980.

I dunno if the sync was off a bit in the Tide is High video, or if Debbie is the worst lip-syncer EVER? She's a talented lady, but not the best dancer either, if this and the Muppets show are any indicators! I really like these two though. That was a fun interview!
