Aww man. This is wonderful in all kinds of ways.
One of those: it reminds me how I once played with my 4 yr old that she was an evil stepmother trying to take away my baby. (I of course valiantly defended the baby doll. I was quite impressed how her normally huge eyes and happy expression just radiated meanness when she narrowed her eyes and frowned.)
So I can just imagine how a good fairy godmother resonates with the imagination of sick small kids.
Thank you for pointing this out bopo.
Wrt the expression 'mensch': that reminds me how my then GF told me that her ultra orthodox jewish father had used that term to describe his impression of me.
When you speak german and dutch there's an extra, familiar perspective on yiddish expressions and words: mensch is also just the word 'human', oy vey is also 'woe is me', gelt='money', ach='aww' etc
Of course those words have slightly different meanings in english.
(Btw to finish the anecdote: the father-in-laws opinion didn't mollify my ex towards me as father of her daughter as I'd hoped. Boo.)
