I would LOVE to have a pet raccoon. Possibly hindrances to this are that (a) raccoons are not indigenous to the UK so I don't know where I'd get one and (b) Lucy would gang up with the raccoon and they would kill me in my sleep.

Raccoons freak me out. They look too smart. And their little fingers... ugh.

We had a pet raccoon when I was about ten. He was a very smart little critter and loved learning tricks. His favorite game was going through the ball return lanes in the pool table.

Hey, you! You in the window with the coffee and the flannel sweater! I see you in there, all cozy in your big warm house. It’s been pretty cold out here lately, what with fall turning into winter and everything, so how’s about maybe opening the front door a crack, just this once, and letting me in? C’mon, man. Help a raccoon out?

I've always wanted a raccoon. So smart. It is true that like ferrets (also scary smart) they are also very prone to mischief. Note the evil gleam in Grace's raccoon's eye.
