mood intervention checklist continuing your humble correspondent's adventures in self-management (avoid useless arguments, understanding stoicism) and the capstone: arbitrary stimuli affecting one's consequential disposition, let us gather ideas about what said stimuli can be. [More:]

I have so far

✓ Sunlight
✓ Social interaction (with the right people and at the right places likely to be beneficial)
✓ Exercise
✓ Meditation
✓ Hygeine (remember to shower and stay fresh etc)
✓ Temperature Control
✓ Lighting Control
✓ Suitable foods
✓ Avoid caffeine
✓ Comfortable clothes
✓ Avoid thinking about Drama or events/issues you can't affect right now (and definitely don't drag yourself into them)
✓ Avoid media that is stressful, sad or otherwise counterproductive
✓ Proper rest and sleep
Noise levels

good one. Also

✓ Posture
✓ Breathing
✓ Fresh air

I hereby subtitle this list: Just Cause You're Screwed Doesn't Mean You Have To Be Miserable.
Something like that. Okay I got it. Full List Title: "Mood Intervention Checklist: Just Cause It's Bad Doesn't Mean It's Miserable"

Good list so far.

Fresh air, Sunlight, Lighting, Rest, all express themselves, in my life, as submitting to the Natural Environment (which for me, is everywhere.) In the big picture I would call it acceptance. So, I would maybe add Nature to the list as an, for the time being, external stimuli.

I guess it could be argued that I am talking about going to church regularly. And that might be how the submitting to Life works for you. I prefer the wilderness where no conventions are placed between me and the unavoidable necessity to be self and place aware; to simply go with what is presented without resistance.

YMMV

That's a really good list, Firas. I've recently found that listening to upbeat music to be a help.
