it is ridiculous how much I'm finding my mood/emotions is affected by bodily and environmental comforts these days. It's like discovering a conspiracy that my serious life thoughts are so arbitrary. lol
okay comforts is not putting it right, but I meant like going out for a run boots my mood hugely, bad lighting depresses it, indigestion or too much caffeine has me worrying, etc. which is all basic and understandable but my point is that the thoughts that result about whether life is going well pretend to be referenced to something else than these circumstantial things

I get this way. And when I am truly depressed I am incapable of doing the things I know will make me feel better.

And I find the opposite is true as well with my depression. TMI: last night I showered for the first time in a week. I love feeling clean, I love the feel of a shower, but it's difficult to get myself to the point I will take one.

I think, like so many of our thoughts, they kind of are.

Llife by definition is arbitrary. Were it not so it would not exist.

Your life is the one lived in your body and through your eyes. Makes lots of sense that what is happening to you and your body will affect your sense of your life.

I know what you mean. And it's a little scary that people behave as though they have no idea that not only their own, but other people's words and actions are affected by what they ate, how much they slept, environmental stress, and all those other everyday things that are never the same every day.
