What kind of mousepad does an editor who's into swans buy? This one, of course. Show me your mousepad and/or the mousepad you'd have, given your druthers.
This one would work for me. Or this one.

At work I use a Manchester United mousepad from the 2000-2001 season. It features Ryan Giggs, Dwight York, Andy Cole and David Beckham. Giggsy still plays for United.

I really like this one.

And here's one for The Pink Superhero.

I'm using this one; I bought it when I was a moderator at FarmVille/Zynga. I really need a new one and there are lots of bees! Here are three that I really like.

I have this one, which I bought at the Kennedy Space Center a few years ago.

Mine is a custom printed pad featuring this picture that my Mom had made for me as a Xmas present several years ago.

This is my mouse pad. thankfully at work I don't need one because the desk is smooth and the mouse is good. I hope it's not much longer that we need the mouse pad as accessory.

Ever since mice lost their balls I’ve used paper from my laser printer. It protects my desk from wear, is so thin that it doesn’t make my wrist bend any further upward (as the old foam ones did), and I use the far edge/corners to jot down notes related to the current project or when on the phone, etc.

When the paper gets wrinkled and grotty I save any needed notes and get a fresh sheet. I don’t do this often (not on first signs of wear) so I’m not wasting a ton of paper, especially when you consider that I’m getting dual use as a scratch pad. (I often let them get pretty worn out, but in realty they’re no more unhygienic than most people’s mouse pads even if the paper looks bad toward the end.)
