Well, that pretty much seals it. My husband and I were looking at property in Bloomfield, Wilkensburg and Lawrenceville the last time we were in the 'Burgh (just a few weeks ago, octo, you don't check your email very often!). Now I am definitely going to buy in Bloomfield. Maybe Sharon will be my neighbor. Won't you be? Won't you be? Please, won't you be, my neighbor?

And the Pirates are winning some games, of late.

Crap, I did get your email and never responded. I suck.

But hey, moving to the 'burgh, cool.

Octo, we are thinking about spending our summers in the Burgh, but I don't know if I could live there year round. Sharon might be the coolest neighbor ever, but not even she could get me to spend a winter in Western Pennsylvania.

Well, I could never endure a summer anywhere farther south so I guess that we're even. Personally, I'd summer in Vermont and winter in Pittsburgh. I can't deal with temperatures over 75 or so.

How cool!

But I have to say I've always liked Pittsburgh anyway.

Octo, I am getting to the point where I can't stand the heat so much anymore. That's part of the reason we are thinking of getting a place in Pittsburgh to pass the summer! My husband's cousin just bought a cute little apartment in Wilkensburg (near Regent Square) for US$ 55,000. My jaw, it dropped.

I don't know $55K seems like a lot for Wilkinsburg but it depends on where it is there. Bloomfield or Larryville are probably better bets.

For serious, octo? 55k buys you a bathroom and a closet in my town. 55k seems like a dream. A reasonably priced dream!
